I’ve had many clients come in with different hair concerns, but one that stood out to me was a lady who came in for the first time after struggling with alopecia for 10 years. She shared with me how she had avoided going out in public because she was self-conscious about her baldness and was afraid of the wind revealing her condition. Her family had found me through my work on social media and encouraged her to come see me. It took a lot of courage for her to finally come in, but I was determined to help her. We worked together to create a custom hair system that covered her bald spots and gave her the fullness and coverage she desired. She was able to choose the colour and cut that suited her needs. When she came in for her 2-week check-up, she was beaming with happiness and hugged me with tears in her eyes. It was a heart warming moment for me to see her confidence grow and feel beautiful again. This is why I love my job, to make a positive impact on people’s lives and see their happiness shine through.
